What does this mean? Also, whats an alpha and beta?
Normally it's a prefix that would mean something like "metadata means data about data" or "metajokes are jokes about jokes". In competitive gaming, it usually refers to the strategies and playstyles that dominate most matches. For example, the longstanding MOBA games meta is the 1-1-2-1 formation, the meta for Yu-Gi-Oh at one point was swarm decks, and so on.
EDIT: Shit, forgot your other question. In short, and especially for internet posts, alpha is a really forward, gets-the-job-done, and overall socially dominating kind of person. Betas are the more whiny people who never really do shit and then complain about it.
