Ah yeah, that's what I mean with Fate. It's got historical figures/background for them but the setting is completely different. Not a fan of history other than mythology so them just having part of it based on myths/history is really cool to me without going too far into it.

Honestly the only real mystery was what was in Eren's cellar, the whole where did the titans come from thing was just played off as "this is how it's always been" in the anime. Explained a bit more in the manga at this point, but they explained enough, to me anyway, in the anime.
yup yup, I'm always interested in anime-fication like that, but if they took it to serious it'll be not fun for me~ :p
