Fakku, in order to continue putting out the highest quality work they could, started talks with publishers to see what they could do to legitimize the site with it's current goals and continue to help it grow. This was their first mistake. Publishers don't much care about the community, not in movies, not in manga, not in video games nor music. Publishers care about money. Fakku, entering the talks with hearts large and eyes open, hoped to bring two formerly clashing communities together in hopes of them eventually both growing and becoming something great. But the publishers have seen this before, and learned how to profit from it by destroying that which has the best intentions. Good intentions don't make money.
This is a big misconception, in fact most people within companies providing this material are fans of what they produce. Yes they want money, but it's because it costs money to make the material that we enjoy. If we didn't have these companies and promote this material to buy you think we would have what we have today?
And basically you are saying they should go back to piracy because of the content we could get, but the problem with that is fakku would be shut down as a result. In this scenario they are trying to stay alive as well as promote high quality material and they did this partially because they wanted to but also because they had to.
I get what you're saying, but it also doesn't make sense so hopefully you can enjoy hentai and promote fakku as well. I don't know why people can't do both personally, I know I do.
