Back when I played Warriors Orochi 3, Sterk was only in the Japanese version, so I didn't get to play as him. I don't know what he's like, just knew he was in one of the Warriors Orochi games.

Sterk is in the first 3 Atelier games of the ps3. Atelier Rorona, Totori and Meruru,
The Sterk from Warriors Orochi 3 is from Atelier Meruru.
Shame that only the Japanese version has Sterk or else i would have bought the game.

He was in it, just at a later time. I haven't played any of the ps3 versions, why was he a badass? How was he in the first 3, were their stories connected?

He's just one of the characters that's the badass of the game in my opinnion, And the story begins with Atelier Rorona then comes Atelier Totori and ends with Atelier Meruru. Then a new story starts with Atelier Ayesha then comes Atelier Escha & Logy and i think it will end with the new Atelier Shallie that will come in March 2015.

Are the Alchemists the main characters, or the fighters?

The Atelier games are the only Gust games ive played,
I'm a bit picky with the games i choose but i'm trying to be more open minded.

Are tonelico is alright, it plays like the Iris series but with dating simulation in it.

I'll look on youtube for some gameplay, sounds fun.
I was thinking of maybe getting the new Ar Nosurge : Ode to an Unborn Star.

Haven't played that one, played the first 3.

I don't see how Ar Tonelico play's like the Iris series.

Graphics look similar, alchemy is important, even the little gauge that says "Hey, a battle happens next" and when it empties no more battles. Even how sprites look on the map, it's easy to tell it was made by the same company.

Been looking at the wrong Ar Tonelico my bad, I do see some resemblance indeed.

Ar Tonelico Qoga, I forgot there were Ar Tonelico games for the ps2.

Only two if I remember. There are SOME connections between them. It's kind of a "Futuristic Iris" is how I would describe Ar Tonelico.
