Touhou is a danmaku(screen shooter) game series, but since the game was so popular, the franchise became one of the best known ones around, hence the doujin.

You should explain that Touhou became popular thanks to the godly music and it's fans! It's also a worthy point of note if you compare the art from the EOSD and the latest one TD. The art has improve so much! Zun is one hell of a talented guy!

My favourite songs up till now is Mystical Oriental Love Consultation, Maiden Cappriccio and Lunatic Princess.
