True, true Togawa. Times indeed are changing. Centuries ago my great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother was having sex and building her brood. *lol* Playing eroge may be frowned upon in certain cultures but it all boils down to viewer/player discretion or having no power suply at all to prevent younguns from getting their hands on such stuff. ^^ They may just be experimenting with the idea of erotica; not necessarily engaging in the delightful act though.

Eroge increases reading, comprehension skills and teaches a bit of biology. Its good to know kids are trying to improve themselves these days.

That statistic really scares me... like the statistic that 11 year-old kids know what porn is.

Then again, given the eroge industry is particulary a staple in Japanese industry with well over 500 games and series to boot, I guess it's not hard to imagine the easy access and prolificacy of mentioned games. I myself download multiple CG sets everyday. I can't imagine it hard for kids of younger age to not be interested in the wonders of sex... though the statistic is still disappointing, least from a mature standpoint.

If Kanokon can be the most popular anime title (online) among elementary school children, I am not surprised to see a percentage of the population in the same age group playing eroge and adult visual novels.

The products may have the above 18 label featured somewhere on it packaging, but when parents leave these "programs" lying around, IT-savvy kids may eventually find them.
