The past few days I've been getting more and more subconscious about my post count. I've been surfing the forums since November, but I've barely been here a month and my post count is pretty high. I know that I haven't been spamming or anything, and that I've been putting genuine thoughts into my posts/topics, but it still looks bad when people look at my join date and then my post count. It surprises me that I've spoken so many words on Fakku [it makes me kinda happy to, in a weird way] but I'm thinking I should take a forum haitus for a month or something [maybe longer]. That would kinda blow on my end, as I have a lot of fun in the forums, but I wouldn't feel right if I got my Elite status before I was here at least HALF a year. Well, that's whats' on my mind right now [AT9 leaves to soothe himself with some hentai]

Dude, I got my elder status with *counts* with 4 and 1/2 months (not counting my month and a 1/2 hiatus), and you don't see me spamming the forums with dumb posts. I wouldn't worry man, and if people thought you were spamming, they'd tell you.

Trust me, you're fine. As long as you put thought into what you're saying, it doesn't matter how much you post. The forums are here so you can discuss things with people, so if you like to post then go right ahead.

As everyone says, as long as your posts arn't there just to increase your number, I think you will be ok.

I think you mean conscious of your post count as opposed to subconscious. Either way, you aren't a huge whore from what I've seen so you're golden.

Your post count and your join date don't really have any connection. Look at me. I've been here almost a year, and I'm not even an elder. That's because I didn't post for the first six months I was here.
A person could make fifty posts in one day, if he was here the entire day, or a person could make two posts in one day, if he was here ten minutes. If the two parties are on the site for a month, and stick with that pattern, the former will have 1,500 posts and the latter will only have a hundred. Your join date isn't important, just how active you are.

I've been here 5 months and something and I've got 2241 posts and 68 topics. I haven't spammed at least I don't think. I did however have the tendency to start a conversation with people in threads. I'd have to say that if my incoherent babbling section posts counted i'd probably be at 7000 - 8000 posts give or take. So yah you definitely not a spammer. Your posts are 99% of the time well thought out. Like people have said a spammer is someone who gives nothing to the topic or says a signal word over and over.

Pfft. Look at my join date. Sure, my post count is low, but i know that none of my posts have been spam and were all grammatically correct to the extent of my (and spell checks) abilities. Besides, it took me awhile to get settled in and know how i should act.
