naw they're not gothic. they're visual kei. its a type of fashion style thats prominent in a lot of j-rock bands. but its also a fad thats fading out.

I hope so ^_^ I mean, most people predicted visual kei was just a looming fad when prominent visual kei pioneers of the 90s such as X Japan, Luna Sea and Malice Mizer disbanded or went on hiatus near 1998 or '99.
I think the indie bands will pick up the slack if it does happen... the same happened in the early '00s with Nightmare in indies, now they're the big dogs :)
Speaking of Alice Nine, I was a fan of theirs since their album Zekkeishoku came out. Got the album as a discounted item off my friend, listened to it, and since then I was hooked.
