Any idea what mp3 player/cellp supports FLAC files?

well my cell doesnt support flac and i have most of my great great songs in FLAC and i dont feel like converting them and i mighr get some money soon, so anyone have an idea of what mp3 player or cellphone supports FLAC files? :oops: oh and if yu can, state the price :oops:

As long as I live, I've never heard a MP3 player that can play a Flac file, I usually convert them to Mp3 first then put it in my MP3 player.
:)
Just convert them, and save your money for more useful things in the future.

if you have an ipod the ipod linux distro supports flac I think... I have it on my Ipod, and it runs nice. though I haven't used flac so I can't say for sure

I prefer Goldwave for converting my audio files. It can do it batch and it's a nice free program (with a 50 command limitation... which is hard to meet.). I can't remember if it supports flac or not.
On the subject of flac and other lossless audio types, I have to wonder "why?". I don't see the point of having music files take upwards to 30MB just so there isn't any loss in audio quality. 128kb/s at the least on a .mp3 is plenty good quality (I usually go a bit higher, though). Most of the stuff that gets taken out when put into a lossy format is sound you can't even hear (physically impossible) anyway.

I don't know where you get that idea from. Being an audiophile myself, I find that lossless files play insurmountably better than any other format. Everything is so rich and clear. I didn't spent a grand on my headphone setup just for sounds I can't hear, I'll tell you that much.
