If the post requirement is set to 15 posts, or something along those lines, it shouldn't pose as a major problem to the people who feel they want to contribute, they can just spend 5 minutes responding to some threads in Random or go to the Meet and Greet-section to achieve that.

Since flaggers usually don't post at all even a low post req as that would likely be sufficient to keep them out and away from everyones uploaded material.
This is the most common solution used by forums with uploaded material around the net, and it's proven to be very effective.

So if lurkers want to whine about it they can ask themselves if they rather have an open section with dead uploads or a losely restricted one with all links up & running.

It shouldn't be a hard choice imo.

Prepare teh Global Mods for war and have them perm-ban everyone who does that shit, no mercy.

I don't think you understand how much spam there was. Remember 300? Reduce the number of Spartans by 3/4 and increase the number of Persians likewise, and you've got the situation.

Then get some temps mods to help out while the spamming is at it's worst.

If other forums could handle this kind of transition then Fakku can too.

It also wouldn't hurt to have a front page post explaining that it's going to happen and if you spam or break any of the other rules you will be banned. As KLoWn said "no mercy" should be taken. A lot won't even read it, but it will definitely help.

i aggree with this and what clown said earlier that 15 post thing isiint a bad idea, and as for the spam thing howbout a admin butten that deletes all new posts in random within the last two hours? give or take? mabye even adjustable time limit to it? something of that nature, i can see how that will ruin a lot of peoples stuff but if it gets that bad i dont see anybody complaining if such a measure is taken to stop it

you know how jake feels about moderation, and how much he loves to hire staff... it's not a plausible solution. Also I think we're trying to encourage sharing, and setting a limit will probably hurt that. Having your uploads reported is a small price to pay to help the community. That is how I feel of course.

I used to go to a doll site and they have a section for meetups and parties, not conventions, just regular ones. There were hundreds of people there though.

Having your upload flagged and deleted in the time span of five minutes after having spent 12-24+ hours uploading it will have you feel diffrent about the situation i assure you.
And having flaggers running lose in the upload-section and putting the leechers before the people who actually wants to share and contribute to the community is pretty much the opposite of encouraging people to start sharing imo.

Taking care of the material that people have been nice enough to have taken their time to upload to Fakku should be top priority, and what the leechers think about it a veeeeery distant second in this case.

The question is, would the spamming calm down? Or would we have an army of temp mods for a couple of weeks before deciding that a post limit was a bad idea? Also, other sites can handle that sort of thing, but other sites are bigger than Fakku.

Anyways, this sort of thing has been discussed before (at great length), and I think it's bad to centralize the conversation in this thread to that topic. If you feel strongly enough about it, Klown, then make a thread in Feedback saying that you still want a post limit. (Or make your own thread here in Random, if you want to.) Let's keep this thread about new ideas.

I can't think of much that the staff could do, I miss the ratio of idiot to contributing intelligent user---but that's irreparable.
I do support the idea of a full on calendar, I vaguely remember something like that going on a year, or two, ago (Scary thought, me being here for more than a year). I didn't like the lack of actual hentai within, but I loved the way fakku used to appreciate it's artists.


Oh, and if we could get some users to migrate to Sanshee once a month, that would be golden.

I'd like to see more loli doujins if it's ok whit Fakku, and maybe a little update on the games section whit more (torrent) links to fully translated Visual Novels. Every other things are fine to me. Whit all of the (wery few) negative things that this site has, Fakku is still the best hentai syte in the whole frikkin' world !

i noticed alot of the manga have 'Unknown' for the artist. maybe members could do research and find out who the artists are.

My opinion on this matter is nowhere near an angry one, regardless of my unwillingness to partake in usually anything that goes on at Fakku I have been here for a very long while, and I've not seen Fakku better than this, of course I agree with the issue on hentai videos getting deleted without us having any clue, and on how that would be a reasonable request as an issue awaiting assimilation to put in, but I also know that Jacob does not have the time to simple keep track of every minor detail he does on the site, deleting videos because of angry calls or letters he gets is just one of the many responsibilities I know all Fakku staff members are charged with.
Also, genres, I think doujin and hentai videos should have a genre section that's pretty much micro-divided to the group that sets you off, floats your boat, turns you on, ect. (Such as Hardcore, softcore, tentacle, Loli, Yuri, Yaoi, , incest, rape, just all the basics with a more in-depth coverage(Not that I'm a fan of the last two, well, my main grievance would be with the last one, lol)ect. And then about four different subcategories for each).
Now I know that sounds like a lot of work so of course I'm nowhere near expecting it to even happen, just listing off my opinions to see if you might feed off this idea and see a good road to take.
Other than that I've not thought this idea through much more, so if you see a way to make my session here completely null and void, what I'm thinking of did not get thought out a hundred percent through by someone whos decisions actually really matter.
