Best Vacation/Travel you've ever done/gone.

I tried to move over to cali and live once. I guess that counts as a 3 month vacation.

I stay inside at the pc so much that traveling is rare. Although, traveling to the Southwestern US was interesting.

When I was 16, I went with my cousin and a bunch of his friends (who were all 19) to one of the friends' beach houses on the canada-side of Lake Erie during the summer. I stayed there for about 3 weeks and god were we all nonstop-wasted. 19 for the drinking age fucking rocks. We picked up a couple chicks from the little shacks next door and had some fun with them =) Some of the best things that I can still remember are the people who lived next door were apparently owners of a canadian-based kegger company and offered us some keggers and one time at 3 AM, one of the guys started shouting at the people living in the shacks next door asking if any of them were still awake. I really want to go again so bad.

I would like to go to Japan for obvious reasons, but I also want to visit Europe... So many places to take pictures... Picture = PersonDude's hobby

For the place I had fun at: When I went to Korea for 2 months and tutored english there. It was quite an experience. Also visiting all the amusement parks, taking pictures, hiking, scoping chics, etc. was great.

Coming home from the Army. I was never so happy, hell I almost cried.

I have only ever travelled to China, and that was when I was 18. It was a great experience as I never expected the great culture differences. But the parts I loved most have now been knocked down for the freakin stadium now...

yes but the market place and the shanty housing was knocked down to build it. Alot of people are homelesss now and the market place was YEARS old. Its a shame they couldnt of build it on the outskirts. That way they could of bought the 'money' and tourists to the poorer parts maybe? (excuss my spelling sorry :oops: )

well if they build it on the outskirts it might just destroy the scenery and stuff. besides they need a really really big area to built just the stadium alone. with the swimming pool stadium and the other stuff they might just not have enough space. and i think those made homeless received some sort of special treatment.

no,actually it's not homeless who live in those area.
the area used to build the stadiums is actually an old traditional chinese housing complex and flea market(which in my personal opinion is a heritage of chinese culture).

and the government actually forced the people who live there and giving them unfair compensation for their homes.

and i think there's no problem with building those stadium outside the city,as the area outside beijing is actually barren flatland.

Not really a holiday of sorts but when i was younger i spent 2 years living on the island of Cyprus due to my dads work. The sun was always shining the beaches were golden and beautiful, the people were very friendly (when i lived there i ived on the Greek side so i don't know what the Turkish side was like. It was the early 90's at this time) and i really enjoyed the history.

My only regrets are that whilst we lived there we didn't take the chance to explore countries close by like Israel, Turkey, Egypt etc.
