Not big on music award ceremonies, or any award ceremonies for that matter.

I think its sad that people feel as if creativity should be made into some kind of competition.

seems the implication that black people all watch BET was the stereotype he was referring to.

I think he's referring to how...basically racist BET tends to be. It's not quite as bad as UPN, but it's still black people watching black people to stereotypical black people things, and any award show for it might as well hand out golden watermelons and buckets of fried chicken as awards.


It's not a big deal or anything, and I don't watch BET, but things like BET reinforce black stereotypes more than anything else in the world, really.

BET in America is like the Holocaust deniers in Europe. I mean, just because black artists are starting to move out of the hood and appeal to both blacks and whites doesn't mean they can justify a black-only awards show.
