Whoops, I meant 200 meters effective and 500 meters max. A shotgun's effective radius is within 50 meters, so 400 meters is a bit far-fetched, yea.
Although I'd classify the M16 as an AR, not a machine gun. And a M11? I've never heard of a M11 machine gun but a pistol yea, or the M110 semi-auto sniper rifle.
Check out their website. And by M11, I think they mean MAC-11, because it looks like the MAC-10. The ATF defines all select-fire/burst/auto weps as 'machine guns' regardless of duty weight, so that's what I/they mean by it. And 200 meters is much more reasonable, the RBF is definitely capable of something like that (with a magnification scope of course).
Personally though, I'm kindof anti-AR just because
everybody's doing it! I've always had a soft spot for esoteric stuff and I guess that goes with guns too. My firearms wet dream is to have a Beretta 93R as a daily-carry gun.
Another cool gun to look at is the FN Herstal Five-Seven. It weighs a little as a Glock-17, has 20 round mags from the factory, and if you can find the ammo (it's a proprietary caliber, same as the P90), you'll have flat ballistics to 100yds and the round itself, even in std ball/fmj form, can penetrate some body armor. Plus the gun's got a picatinny on it already, ripe for a laser or light
Adding this in, Shernic Gun Works also makes a $150 stock kit for the SKS. Not quite as futuristic but it looks lighter and more 'tacti-cool' than the CBRPS version.
