Canvas for a brand new cpu

I am planning to buy a brand new cpu having the following parts:

processor: i5 750 2.6mb 8mb cache
motherboard: MIS P55-GD65
VGA: 9600gt or 9800 gt 1gb ddr3
MEM: corsair 4gb XMS31333 or kingston 2x2GB 1333 ddr3
HD: western digital or seagate barracuda 1TB
Casing: antec 300 or antec 900
PSU: Acbel 510w

Note: I live in the philippines. I have a budget range of 40k - 45k.

Now the questions:
1. Is it true that the i series have bugs, a friend of mine told me this and advised me to choose the quad core.

2. other than antec are there any other brand o atx casing that is cheaper but could also give me the same cooling?

3. Which is better, seagate or western digital?

Could you guys help me? I've been wanting to buy a new cpu since last year, but did not have enough money now I was able to save 45k pesos.

45k is a little too cheap for my taste man if you want a computer to run very fast just buy the "quadcore with 3.2 ghrz ddr3 + 8gig RAM+ SLI motherboard preferably "asus" + 2 9800 gt ddr3 nvidia + 1T Seagate or Belkin HDD this would cost you about 75k-85k

Sorry dude. 45k is my maximum budget, I'm also saving for academic expenses. Plus, I'm not rich at all.

1. There arent any bugs with my core i7 and none of my freinds have any problems either

3. western digital is the best my segate drives died on me after 3 months TWICE!

your psu says 510W... i think thats low/just enough. personally id get more to lessen stress and also, the numbers are not always accurate. 510 does not really give 510 at times, thats risky for the rest of your computer

you only have one HD and its the 1TB. I assume its to store a lot, but its gonna run on the same one as windows. Me, id separate them less stress on the faster/bigger/hotter/more important drive.

Ive had some seagate problems in the past as well, one of 2 broke after reaching 600GB+. Got 3 1.5 caviars, still waiting if theyll break, i hope not

a 1TB at 90% used is a nightmare to deal with when it crashes unless you have another that backs up its contents

it looks crappy but you can put 2 140s on the front to cool your hard drives (x6), 1 at the top and the psu is on the bottom so air flow is alright. drives face inwards so its not picky with sata cables, simple and it works for me.

I got this one too in the past smaller case coz it was cheap, it worked for me

Thanks for the information ash. It's a big help for a novice like me.

I reckon you should get the Antec 300 as your case of choice I've got both 300 and 900 and the 300 is much better with the inclusion of the dust filters.
Also like ashcrimson said you should choose a better power supply the no-name yum cha ones are known to be dodgy, avoid SHAW like the plague as I heard whole systems being ruined by SHAWs dieing.

Anyway have a look at johnnyguru's site for decent psu reviews.

Is 600 watts enough? I'm not gonna OC my cpu.
