i think its rbz and this is all an elaborate scheme to get his fix of torture, chinese nipple style. even if it doesnt exist you make it painful, full of suck and give it a bullshit origin and you have what seems to be a genuine method of torture... i know i wouldnt want any.

ziggy told me about this guy before, what a creeper. can you not go into another cash out line or something? just try and avoid him as much as possible, hopefully he gets a hint and leaves you alone.

I'll play devil's advocate for a minute here.

I speak from experience when I say that as a single, nerdy guy, life really sucks. Most women don't want to talk to you at all and it feels like nothing you say or do will ever get them to like you. Of course I don't know the dude, but it sounds like he's just never been successful with women at all, so he doesn't know what works. He doesn't have anything to fall back on. So he tries teasing like he's seen other people do, but it doesn't work because he doesn't have the charisma to pull it off. He probably understands that you're kind of annoyed, but from his perspective, doing something and having a 1% chance of success is better than doing nothing and having a 0% chance of success. He probably does this to anybody young and female, because he's nervous and hasn't had a pattern of normal relationships with women throughout his life.

I get that he's probably too obnoxious to deal with even if you have sympathy for his position. The normal advice people would give now would be to tell him to stop it, but I think most people are too conflict-averse to confront people in their daily lives. Maybe you could make a point to use the other check-out lines, if that's a possibility, although I'm guessing you've already tried that. But calling him out on the internet isn't really going to solve the problem. In the off chance he reads this, he'll either feel vindictive or just keep doing what he's doing, because he doesn't seem to be comfortable enough around women to treat them politely without trying to show romantic interest.

I'm not going to do anything to the guy. I hate confrontation, and I'm sure he does too. I won't have my boyfriend go after him with a tire iron, trust me.

I don't think he'll be too devastated by a post on the internet (if by chance he'd even read it regardless)

I can A) Anonymously tell him to stop, and him not have to give his identity up and nobody knows who he is - and he can get the message
B) Tell him to stop in person which will make me uncomfortable and him uncomfortable
C) Tell the manager and possibly have him lose his job, unable to survive, and then homeless. <_< Okay, that's a stretch, but I know right now I'd really hate to lose my job.

And talking is fine. I'd be okay with hey, I assume you're into anime, have you seen any good series lately that you could suggest?

That'd be totally cool, but instead the guy sees my shirt once, says oh hey! I know that shirt! And promptly teases me after... that's not cool.

I don't like playing keep away and I don't like being told I'll be punished.

Can't say I can relate to your annoyance, since over here people aren't very talkative towards one another in the grocery. We tend to get our stuff and get the heck out.

WOW, here I was working at Kroger's and I see some girl with one of fakku's hentai shirts. She seemed cool, kinda original. I started talking to her because it seems we shared common interest but when we started talking she really came off mean. I wanted to make a new friend but I think she thought I wanted to bone. Either way I saw her after and wanted to give it another try; I started talking about something she might also be interested in but she pretty much cut me off and walked out. I wonder if she treats that guy shes always with the same way she treated me. Why can't I make any irl friends?
