Demonoid

Ah...the CRIA shut down demonoid. Wonder if they'll relocate like thepiratebay did. Hope they do as they were my torrent tracker choice when it came to many things.

Maybe it is just my imagination, but for some reason, I believe the witch hunt on torrent sites has begun. Wasn't there another torrent site that was closed down recently? Or was it isohunt closing its doors to American users?

My memory isn't functioning well at the moment... :(

OiNK was thrown down earlier this year and its admin arrested. Now, after being a member of both Demonoid and OiNK, I'm starting to feel as though all torrent sites are slowly being pulled under.

Dang, I hadn't been there in a while...I'm starting to get worried, especially since TV-Links has gone kaput too. :(

Most sharing sites of any caliber are being taken down by copyright authorities worldwide. It's only a matter of time.

I'm not meaning to sound like it's the end of the illegal file-sharing, more like they are sending out a message. They did some lady in the States for downloading 1700 songs off Kazaa or something. It's the message, they are TRYING to stop it.

There's always IRC and Usenet which seems to be under the radar for now. Most people are too lazy to learn how to use IRC so i hope that circle stays small.

Most users don't have a damn clue how to use either. So thankfully they are both kept with intellegent users that have been there for a while, or don't care to try.

Yeah, I'm sorta surprised that there isn't a bot to leech off of in Fakku's irc chan.

I despise torrents. Let them die, I say.

I use demonoid as well and it really does suck that they got shut down. But there will always be more torrent sites.



We were going to set one up but it never got off the ground. And now my college firewall doesn't let me get on IRC x_x
