Direct Replies to Confessions

What I'm referring to is when a guy/girl confesses to someone, a "direct reply" is when they give a direct answer of "yes" or "no", or "I like you", or "I don't like you". Just as long as there's a clearcut answer.

Thus, my question is: Does it occur often? Have you guys/girls ever experienced/done it?

Honestly, of the five times that I've tried confessing, 4/5 of them were pandering around, trying to be as soft as possible. With lines such as "I don't know" to "I'm sorry but I'm moving", 4/5 times I'm stuck in the dark in whether they actually fancied me or not. It's simply more painful for a ambiguous answer to be given rather than a straight-up no or yes, because you're still on the line of whether there's still hope.

Then again, my confession methods were "indirect" on itself, so maybe I deserved it? I mean, I can elaborate on my most recent one, involving seashells, chests, newspaper, and cell phones. :)

I hate ambiguous replies. They may think they're being soft and trying to reduce the pain, but hell, there's hardly anything as cruel as providing a false hope.

So straight replies for me. Even if you can't say yes or no directly, give out lines that can't be falsely interpreted.

MOST of the girls i had tried replied next day after teh event....

but there were TWO cases that when i said what had to be said instead of an answer i got a very tight hug....

Same on the 2nd one...with an "I love you"

the first one...I didnt even realize that she already said yes..

She told me I love you tuesday night, I found out that she's already my girlfriend, wednesday afternoon... -.-'

Wish things would happen to me that way -.-
When I confessed, I got a hug, and se told me she loved me, but the next day she decided we won't go out because her ex doesn't like me. <.<

i mostly confessed in teh afternoon @ school....

heres teh order of events....

CASE 1:
confessed - hug - she left - school - classroom - kissed me in front of teh whole class
(yes i was surprised myself)
CASE 2:
confessed - hug - we both left w/o a word - school - dragged me to teh library - said her part


now i dun understand girls anymore

I've never had anyone give me the run around when it comes to confessions. Usually it's just outright refusals. They may be "sorry" but by and large it's awkward but firmly denied. *shrug*

Usually girls I liked don't like me and vice versa.

I like it straight...so if u like him ( and u don't wanna make the first move ) u have to wait for him and that's annoying and confusing for both sides.
If u don't like him and he still tries so hard and u leave it, it hurts him even more ( I think I made in that point some mistakes )

Usually if u wait to long or u don't give a direct answer it can go to the wrong way if u know what I mean.

There were guys I didn't want to hurt or loose as friend and they liked me but they didn't tell me in my face. ( and I don't go to sb. if I'm not 100% shure he does have feelings for me or not ) THat was more painful for them I guess and we are not so close friends anymore then it used to be. I'm still sad about that and I tried to avoid it by waiting for the right time kinda but it's like a fire u wait until it might go away by itself but it just gets bigger and burns more away.
Also u NEVER should say " I don't know"....even though u mean it honestly. Don't do it! Either u like somebody or not. It's hard to hurt somebody but there is no way which wouldn't hurt her.

I ...never really did made a straight confession. They found out kinda or never did.Right now I'm in a situation of confessing or not.
Now that I made suggestions to u I should be a good example and follow my ...eh whatever it is.

Anyway, I think of replying with a hug is really cute X3. If u wanna have it clear then ask her. Jesus word can be so powerful.

I have only tried to confess once, but was denied before I got the chance... but I thought that was nice anyway because I knew I had no chance so I did not have to worry about it




I think that if I actually ever try to confess, then a hug as response will be really nice, but I still think I would kind of need her to actually also say it because I would be such a nervous wreck after confessing that anything short of a "YES!" response would make me worry if I somehow misinterpreted the hug..
