A Close Real Life friend told me today that I do too much. Which apparently he thinks that because I'm a full time College student and work 25 hours a week.
Do you think this is too much?
My Day is as follows:
6:30am Wake Up have a quickie take a shower fix some coffee, and get ready for my day at 7:45 I head out to class which I have through out the day until about 4:30 then at 5 I'm at work untill 9 or so, then I come home and do a little bit of my home work and then go to go to bed about 1-2am.
I'm constantly working for a better part of 14-15 hours every day, and get 4 hours of sleep. Do you honestly think that I'm doing too much? I really don't think so but my friends do.
When start college this is my schedule .... wake up at 7, shower, eat, go to class till 5, do class work, play video games sleep then the next day i get to sleep in and then rinse and repeat.
So if you look at my schedule .... than yes ..... but, "doing too much" is more up to the person doing. IF you start to feel exhausted too much than you are if not, than your fine. I'd advise a brake ever now and again tho :3
dude... grammar police... "too" instead of "to". and honestly it's good that you're hardworking, but it's nice to take a break every once in a while. ^_^
*EDIT* if you feel that you're working too hard, then feel free to stop. also, you're supposed to be getting 8 hours of sleep a day. moving around so much and only sleeping for 4 hours is not good. so... SLEEP MORE! and eat breakfast man, it's essential, if you constantly work like that.
I do that 4 days a week, Sundays I'm working a 9 hour shift at work and cleaning around the place, Fridays I work on all my homework and Saturdays I'm usually out Golfing. I'm never resting for more than when I do go so sleep.
I used to have a schedule like that and my art homework really started to suffer. If your in school focus on doing well in that. Geez, I sound like a counselor.
I work around 20 hours a week and i am also a full time student but your schedule seems a bit tight, try to get some more sleep in your schedule 4 hours of sleep seems more of a power nap.
I'm envious. I don't have much to be busy with. I'm not going to school right now, though I really need to get my butt into college, and I'm unemployed right now as well. I've got more free time than I know what to do with.
There are many of days I wish I had something more productive to do with my time. As it is, all I really do is spend my days on MAL and Fakku while watching anime and reading manga every minute in between. Sad as it may sound, I actually like having the Fakku club on MAL to work on, keeps me occupied for long durations of time.
Anyway, I'm derailing this into my own personal sob story. I don't think that really constitutes as being too much, but I think that depends on the individual. You can manage all of that and still have the strength and willpower to go on each day? Then I'd say more power to you. Its when it starts to take a physical and emotional drain on you that you have to re-access what you are doing each day.
If you feel fatigued, or anxious, or any notably changes in mood, then you are probably spreading yourself a bit thin. But if you genuinely feel normal and healthy, it's probably ok. People are all different, what seems crazy to one person might be normal for another, and while there are general rules about what is healthy, and usually 4 hours of sleep a night is a little to little, if you honestly feel fine, then like I said, probably ok. Or you'll crash and your shit will be fucked for a little while and you'll be forced to change your schedule, or let it happen again.
But it's your life, man.
My schedule is frequently changing because I work two jobs, but the job I works mornings I never have to be there earlier than 5am, and the one I work evenings is never later that 10pm, so I have that period of the night that is never consumed with work (neither of my jobs comes home with me).
You can gauge by yourself according to how you feel on an average day. If you feel fine, healthy, and stress-less, than I'd say you're doing fine.
I often find that people will say "You're doing too much," due to the fact that they can only see the amount of work you're doing as a number, instead of trying it themselves or realizing that certain schedules will click with certain people.
