I don't mean the way you talk, but the pitch of you voice (sound). I don't know about the rest of you, but depending on which friends I'm with my voice seems to change without me knowing. Does anyone else know if they do it to?
I don't know if it has to do with empathy neurons (yes, those do exist), but that's my best guess. It's just like if you visited another country, you would start adopting the accent. And also how you first learned to speak, you would have the same speech pattern as those you spent the most time around.
Lol yea
At school my voice deepens, possibly because I don't talk much in school anyway. At home my voice goes higher especially around friends and family. I mean the change in pitch is astonishing it makes me crack up sometimes lol.
My voice changes, depending on where I am or who I'm talking to, not only on intonation but also the speed and even the amount of stuttering, it varies a lot. Not very amusing and isn't something I can control.
Edit: I have noticed I tend to use a more high pitched voice when I'm trying to pass a "submissive" image, or when I'm not familiar with someone.

It does depend with who Im with I have my 'mum' voice and my hyper voice when I with my frineds and dont have to be 'mum' lol.
But other than that I dont know?
Not a whole lot, my voice sometimes changes at work with the level of politeness I have to show. Most of the time the only thing that changes is the level of politeness when speaking. I suppose I get a 'sweet' tone of voice. I certainly don't talk the same at work as I do at home.
My voice change too, when i'm about 12 or 13 years old my friends sometime laugh at me because my voice are so immature and now my voice are very mature.
