That is indeed quite the overreaction. And thus the reputation of geeks loses another seven years of trying not to look like obsessive freaks.

I would say his mother shouldn't have thrown away the gundam figures, but then it would seem like I'm defending the guy burning his house down.

Seriously, when you want a guy/gal to stop doing something, never EVER try to "destroy" their most precious "something". they really have to slowly take it away. SOFT WAY

My father ripped some mangas of mine because of my bad grades, only thought of killing him stabbing him with a pointy umbrella, but never did...now I regret it, lol.

I would rage if somebody did that to my gunplas. We put our heart and time into making those. After finishing a gunpla there is a very self gratifying feeling that comes when you look at your finished product.

seriously, i had gundam sandrock and he was my favorite and then he broke, and all of a sudden i knew... i had to get another one.
it wasn't that the gundam was ruined but i didn't like that something i built was broken, i had to fix it somehow.

I'd be sad if I came into my room one day and found my Gundams thrown away. I'd probably wouldn't bitch about my life being over but rather all that cash I spent on the models suddenly now in the garbage. That's even more of a waste to me.

No one in my family have ever try to touch my collection anymore; gunpla, figure, manga and CD music. Because i used to be angry if someone touch it without my permission. I know if someone has took it and put it back. I realise that is not good to be over-protect temperament. but it because I always take care all my stuff and i don't want someone to break it.
in that case, i understand why he did that when you find your precious colletions are gone. but i rather burn all her cloth, shoes and all her collection stuff than burn the house. eye for eye, collection for collection (but please try don't do this at your family, just my imagination XD)

@Mr. Bushido: You've got the point. But in some case, such limited or rare model. It's not about cash that has been spent on the models suddenly now in the garbage, it's all about all effort to get that become nothing

Yes I forgot to mention about that. All that effort, time, and money wasted cause some inconsiderate parents throw them out with no good reason.

i would run to the dump and fucking go mad searching for any remnants of my gunplas.... and end up selling my soul to the demons for a 2nd chance to meetmy gunplas
