Dragonball Evolution, How was it?

To me it was "Epic" failure, my eyes were burnt to crisps.
Had to watch 5 good DBZ episodes to refresh my eyes.
Some people went, "WTF? Goku is no Asian?", well last time i checked Goku is an alien (from another planet), so basically he wont be Asian.
But yeah, in the rate of 1 to 10, it was a 5 for me. Disappointing.

Just got back from watching it and this piece of crap was not Dragonball; the correct name for this is Avatar. I'm not joking either. The first two minutes of the movie, I spotted 5 things wrong/changed to fit. Seriously though...I got in for free since my buddy works in the theater and it still was not worth it. It was fun yelling at the screen though (which was the whole movie)

I got in for free as well, since also a friend of mine works in the theaters, and let me tell 'ya a lot of people were like "booing" almost the whole film.

The only thing that I"m wondering right now is, IF they decided to make a sequel, How will the directors explain about "Super Saiyan Goku"?

OVERALL, IT"S A BAD MOVIE.

Can't wait to Scream and boo on other Hollywood adaptation, like Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Panic, etc etc.

The horrible part is that there is a sequel already in the works I am face palming even more just not to believe it.

I try not to judge adaptions before I see them, or right them off as bad just because they can't measure up to the original. I even allow for a little creative liberty to be taken because I understand different formats work differently, and the EXACT same story might not work on the adapted format, but it should at least be the same overall, or it isn't an adaption.
But this just...I mean... I think my childhood has now been thoroughly raped, beaten, framed, imprisoned, raped again, beat again, and shanked several times.

It was 1# in the Asian Markets, maybe because the voice actress for Bulma was Aya Hirano?

When I hear that goku was in high school, I already knew this horr-flick was going to blow me away RIGHT INTO HELL!!! Seeing the trailers only made me think worst about this movie. It went from "?OH MY GOD, this movie is going to suck something furiously" to "OH FUCKIN LORD ALMIGHTY, GOD, JESUS, GOKU, PLEASE SAVE UR FOLLOWER FROM THIS DAMN MOVIE." When I saw that 911 disater of a movie, it did it! I have suffer a major emotional impact to my childhood! I will need all the world's emotional aid to recover from this damage, but even with all the help, I will only recover to about 50% or 40% of my orginal self. To make things worse for me, guess what I was wearing to the movies to see the db_evo.

I know this is long, it's just Im so pissed and angry by all this shit of a movie has done to the db and dbz worlds. Fuck Friza, Fuck Cell, Fuck Buu, and fuck the rest of them. This movie is the ultimate super villian to the db n/ dbz worlds.

But on the movie itself, I didn't think it was all that horrible. Yes, I'll admit that it was tragically unfaithful to the manga. But if you just sit and watch the movie, for the movies sake, it balances out as a "watchable, but not re-watchable" movie.

Even if you one day just think of watching the movie out of curiosity.
Prepare to have uploaded at least 5 good DBZ episodes to refresh yourself. Or a one epic DBZ movie. Like Brolly.

OH no don't worry bout that, my cousin has pretty much all the sagas on his terabyte and I could always drown the shitty movie with my other anime.

i agree. the movie did not do dragonball justice. i was at a gamestop, and the dude at the counter was like "its ok if yo udont expect it to live up to dragonball expectations" so basically it was a fancy way of saying it sucked.

i wonder how cowboy bebop will be handled. im pretty sure that hollywood is gonna fuck it up, but i hope things go well. thats all i can do really.
