Sure, I'll play along, bud.
Um...Erm... I thiiink...
-My dream would probably be to become an author. Nice, neat, and simple. I don't want fame or fortune (though to say that I'd refuse it would make me a liar).
--To me, stories are really meant for an escape from the terrors and trappings of life and society. Of course conveying a message underneath is important to some degree, and I'm all for that, but I remember reading books as a kid and taking comfort in the drama/comedy/etc. of whatever characters there might be. Which brings me back to my true dream...
I want to create a story that sticks to someone like glue. If even 1 person likes 1 of my novels so much that they re-read it twice over, keep it on their nightstand, and use it as their escape from life's torturous moments, then that's more fulfilling to me than any cash flow. In short (not to sound like a pompous saint or something), I want to ease at least one person's suffering with my creations.
*An author's works are like their children. They only wish the best for their kids, and to see them grow into things which save people from sorrow is more rewarding than gold or diamonds*
Hope that slice of truth was entertaining, Teach! LOL It was fun for me too.
