Dying in dreams

... sucks.

It has been a while since I've had a dream where I died, but a few nights ago I had one. Obviously dreams are never clear, so my explanation wont be: I was at a combination of my old elementary school and daycare (KinderCare). I was running around the grass, as it appeared everyone was doing PE. People were pissing me off for some reason, so I went to another area, but people followed and sat in an outline of the blacktop. I continued to run until i was tired, and i sat with some nice people. We joked around, and I think we talked about ways of killing people. I only assume that was the subject because all of a sudden we were playing a fucked-up version of Russian-roulette were someone would kill another in a unique way. Oh we were all laughing as everybody took their turn. Before I knew, however, I noticed the kid next to me at a fucking small canon or Blunderbuss pointed at me. I kicked my feet at it to avoid being shot, but was unsuccessful. My right leg was completely blown off and I think a good chunk of my torso. I died, obviously. I woke up with my wrists and ankles fucking burning (I theorize this is due to my clinching or something).

They say that when you are on the verge of death, it feels like an eternity. This is no exception to the dream world where what feels like a few minutes equals a few hours in the real world.

I want to hear if anyone else has had a dream where it ended with your death. A sub-purpose of this topic is to share some advice my mom gave me when I was a child (advice she doesn't remember giving, apparently): Let it happen; let yourself die. The sooner you do, the sooner it will be over and you will wake-up. I can give testimony that this works.

I had quite a lot, and it was nasty, I mean the feeling when you wake up.(You will know once you experienced one.)

There was this time when I was drowning, and of course I was choking. But it felt kind of real. My brother woke me up, telling me you were choking. Yes, when he woke me up, I was catching my breath. This was the scariest dream i'v ever had. I was thinking, what if my brother was not there, I would have died. O_o

ahhhh, i had nightmares of me getting killed, stabbed, thrown off the building and such

I have never actually died, I always wake up just before.
I hope I have one some day would like to know how it feels.

I've only had one dream where I was being choked; that was the day Barney the Dinosaur became public-enemy #1!

Had a few, but they aren't bad. Usually happens when I'm way too stressed, and it gives a little relief for a moment. Usually involves some yandere girl. Then you wake up and it's back to the grind. How did that song go? "The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had."

I've never experienced "real" death in dreams. Whenever I have nightmares coming close to it I eventually end up realizing it's a dream and start to just fuck around in it until I wake up. Some time ago, I had a dream of my body being horizontally sliced in half, eventually my two seperated body halves ended up acting individually for a while before merging back together. I had dreams of my skull being crushed with my brain all over the wall, that didn't prevent me from actually looking at it and eventually continueing the dream anyway. I don't experience "fear" or "shock" in my dreams at the point where something horrible happens, which is the cause for people to eventually wake up from their nightmares. However, I woke up several times before because I reached a point in my dreams where I (Knowing I'm inside a dream.) thought I rather not see that what's coming at me, then I wake myself up from inside the dream and feel relieved for having escaped something potentially disturbing (Often involving something happening to family members.).

I have never died in a dream, nor have i had a nightmare or a proper dream in two, even maybe three years.

All i get is deja vu dream moments.

when i was little, i have a terrible nightmare. err... i was playing in a field when suddenly everything goes dark and a coffin suddenly appeared in front of me. driven by curious intent, i opened the coffin and all evil things like zombies and dracula come out from it. i ran away but in the end, they ccaught me. and, they bit me until i see my body was torn off. i try to shout and cry but my voice wouldn't come out..

and, the worst part is : i couldn't wake up even after my body was torn off. usually, when my dream is one step from something like death, i woke up as a reflect. but that time, i couldn't wake up, until my father wake me.

Dreams only actually last a few seconds and people have about 6 a night. They happen just before you wake up and are extremely short.

In psychology we did a lot of dream study, and dieing in dreams isn't actually a negative concept - usually it occurs when something new is happening in your life, or your life is changing. That's what I read anyway

Im pretty sure I have a fair amount of dreams where I fall from someplace really high and I dont know why. I feel this weird "OMG im Falling Imma Die SHiii-" feeling, when I hit the ground, I wake up with this uncomfortable feeling and cold sweat.

I've had my share sure, from ones that left me scratching me head (Death by giant SNES controller) to ones that were eerily probable. Anywho, no need to worry, usually there is a balance of good dreams.

You know what. Many times I've dreamed of walking around the city with no pants on.
Dunno why

And just when good things happen in my dream I get to wake up.
Like being able to eat pizza in a dream. I wake up before taking a bite.

I have dream that i found myself in a room, where i see my family death on the floor and me facing against a bunch of murders. I tried to ran away, and find something to protect myself. I fought against them with knife and frypan X3 I killed mostly of them and suddenly i got stabbed from behind, and i saw blood shread.

I tried to fight back but nothing use.. the murder was faster and cutted my neck and i felt down, and suddely i wake up and felt from the bed..

Well, I have dreamt of my own death a few times already. But weirdly, I often find myself as a "soul" in those death dreams, like I was separated from my body from a deathblow gunshot, and find myself as a ghost looking down at my dead body in those dreams. Like instant death - spared from the agony of slowly dying.

But in some certain dreams I find myself facing life-or-death situations, and I wake up after the climax.

I dont dream usually but when i do usually i dream of events that happens a few days later and i get a deja vu feeling.- -;;

Hmmmm. The alternate phantasmagoria of reality that moves only in the minds of the dreamer. Indeed a fascinating topic. From what my mom said,(Don't know if true or not) dreams are actually a devil's plaything. If you sleep the whole day without dreaming then that means the devil's, demon's or whatever aren't messing with you.

When we dream, Our souls enter another world outside us. They wander about aimlessly for awhile until we wake up. Of course, sometimes they just stay put. But if one is experiencing a dream then it is. Have you ever felt that you've been to somewhere that you can only remember seeing in a dream. well, this explains it somehow. When our souls wander about, the devil's start their trickery and play with our alternate reality. Our souls destinations are often realted to the last thought deeply thought about before sleeping. Sometimes its from our memories. And if your lucky, it tells what would happen then. dreaming about death is ...... I dunno what to say. But i have dreamt of such. I was being aimed by a frickin gun by a gun beside me who i didn't even recognize. I also had other experiences but non that can be remembered.
