feel free to criticize

It seems like you're just starting out, so I can only give you some general advice.

Study from life (draw real people, etc), and learn basic proportions and anatomy. Once you've gotten the basics down, you'll find that your pictures, especially your anime characters, will look a lot better.

Alright, here comes a list that some people may not like.

1.) Get a formal education in Art. I'm not talking grade school bullshit, take some classes, and learn.

2.) Don't start off with drawing animu style shit, it will be just that; shit. Realism is the best foundation one can get when drawing. As I've seen said before, it's much easier to draw a person and then fuck up some the features into animu style than to just draw big eyed, big headed cartoon style people.

3.) Work on your anatomy. Take an anatomy class, even. Your proportions are way off.

4.) Draw like a motherfucking madman. If something comes into your head, draw it. The only way one gets good at drawing is by practicing; it does not happen overnight.

Harsh? Maybe. Honest? Fuck yes.

You'll fuck up whattever you draw wether it's real or anime. (anime is a "decorated" reality)

Aye, this is the secret. Draw. Whattever you do, however bad you think you are, how much it frustrates you (and this may be the most fucked up thing about drawing. It is fucking FRUSTRATING to not be able to draw what you picture in your head), just draw. The more you do, the better your anatomy gets. And anatomy is the key to everything.
