Emergenza

Just occurred that the Emergenza Festival is up and going again, and I wonder if anyone on Fakku takes part, either in the festival itself, or goes to watch the shows?
Me personally will go to a few shows next week because some of my friends are playing. Did this last year too, and realized that the competition, at least in these parts, seems mostly based on whoever has the most friends. There seems to be few bands that rely on fans more than their personal contacts.
Sure this is understandable, because it's mostly local and small bands that play, but still, it quite makes the system unfair.
Anyhow.
For those that not know what Emergenza is;
It's a world-wide "Festival Tour" where amateur bands compete against each other.
Each band get's 30 mins to play, and then the crowd votes for whoever they want to continue to the next round, and so on, first locally, then regionally, nationally.
The national-contest winners will then go on to play at a music festival in Germany (The festival's name has escaped me now) where they compete for the first prize. Which from my understanding is made up of the chance to make an album, get a tour and sponsorships.

I dunno really, I posted to see if anyone does.
I guess that amateur musicians probably would care, since it's a great chance to promote a band. I know that if I would ever get a band together and do some shit, i'd care more than I do now.
But I guess that someone with no musical interest beyond listening to it don't. So why are you even posting? -_-''
