Ah, the wonder that is ED. Many people know about it, and many people hate it. Personally, I find it awesome and hilarious, but know this - If you ever get a page made about yourself, you might as well just stop coming online, as your life is now ruined.

The way you can prevent this? If you're doing something that someone could possibly hate you for, stop doing it. Also, it has to be something stupid enough that someone would WANT to make an article about you. I used to worry about my blog being put up, but then I came to my senses - All I do is write shitty stories. No troll is gonna waste their goddamn time with such a small target.

Also, if people believe there's no reason to have an article on a certain person/organization/thing, it gets discussed for deletion. So if it's ONE person making a page out of spite, chances are it won't last too long.

Then again, if you can be a good sport about it and just learn to laugh at yourself instead of bitching and whining about it, then it's really not all that bad. At least people found you annoying/stupid enough to take the time and make a page to slander you.

Extremely serious. If you fuck up and enough people think you fuck up, you're fucked. Plain and simple. You can try removing the page, but the fact that you did that just gives them another thing to add to the page.

If you read the page, you'll find the answer to both of your questions. The page is an example of how ruined your life could be if the right people hate you.

I usually frquent this site at work when I'm bored. Lots of funny stuff to keep me occupied for 4 hours in the afternoons.

Luckily, yes. But I have to be careful at least. I use LogMeIn to mask my online activities (see here to understand how it works). It's a good way to view some NSFW sites at work and never get tracked or logged for it (Websense is bad).

That's the easy part. The hard part is keeping an eye on every person passing by my cubicle. Friends and also-perverted bosses are good, IT personnel and foreign peeps are not good, I have to quickly minimize the window to hide it.

Methinks everyone should look at the "offended" page.

Of all the horrors that that page possesses, seeing george bush at the end was the most terrifying and puke inducing part of it.
