the first computer i ever had... Command&Conquer Tiberium Sun just came out and i bought it and wanted to install it on the 75MHz computer.
I checked the required hdd space...520Mbs...
i deleted all the other stuff i had and was missing 50 Mbs...
then i saw the Windows folder ( i had NO idea what use it has)

Recently I was repartitioning my laptop that contained all my school work. It said it would take about 2 hours. After an hour, I decided to close the lid, but then I realized... oh shit!! it went on standby, and the hard drive repartitioning stopped half way... Suffice to say, when I tried to boot it up, I got a black screen with a blinking CAPS LOCK light, and a very loud beep.
Luckily I managed to recover the data on the laptop by using a LIVECD of Ubuntu, which repaired what was damaged and installed a new OS over it. All I can say.... whew.
