Fantasy Football! (Best in the division?)

I cant honestly decide who I think will win my division (It looks tight) so heres a nice little poll for you to help me figure it out.

I went with the Manchester Colts. Fantasy is won with Running backs and they have a good duo with Addai and Turner. Matt Ryan should be much improved from his rookie year and he has Tony Gonzalez to pass to now. Great set of receivers too. Yeah...

Hmmmm your probably right, Hes got some good RB trade bait too. (I hope one or more of his WR's gets f*cked up and Palmer has a shocking season/Get dinged up so 85 cant get any decent yardage/TDs.

I think ive got players that can explode in certain weeks but im definately lacking "class" in areas. My team is solid but im not WOWed by it, Just gotta pray that they rise to the occasion! (Im happy enough)

Im gonna be working the waiver wire smartly. :D

I got my team together. Seems kind of iffy, but I drafted it, so we'll see. I'm banking on T. Jones and Portis being underrated while the likes of Michael Turner and Matt Forte may be overrated.

I have the best tandem of RB's in my league (Westbrook & Williams), i have Peyton which will give me at least 3000 yds and 20 TD's and one of the best DST's in fantasy football.

Though my receivers are weak, it could be said that Antonio Gates could make up for that since he is a TD machine and the Chargers #1 receiving option.

First thing I thought was "Dude your recievers are weak" I wouldnt trust Gates too much as a prime point getter, Next week he could get dinged up easily (I think hes a bit prone to injury) Rackers is 50/50 but playing for Arizona cant be bad :P and I remember the Vikings last season, I drafted them thinking they were gonna be "elite" then Pffffft!

Youve got solid RBs like you said and I like your QBs (even Schaub) Are you gonna be playing Mason this week?

People seem to be dumping Lance Moore quite a bit. (Nice pickup if you can get it) :D

Yeah well the Vikings D is facing off against the Lions this week. Their front four will absolutely rape Matthew Stafford

And i won't be playing Mason if Breaston is active for this week.

Oof, close match. I managed to win my matchup 97-72 this week by having players that were generally solid. Steve Smith(NY), DeShawn Jackson(PHI), and Brent Celek(PHI) all exceeded my expectations though. It's looking like grabbing Celek in the final round of the draft was a good move. Kaeding kicked 4 FGs, which is unusual, but you can't rely on kickers to be consistent.

I'm optimistic about my next matchup against the team that feature Kurt Warner, Steve Slaton, and Frank Gore, but I need to figure out what I am going to do for my no 2/3 receiver this season. Jackson is iffy with McNabb out and I'm not counting on Steve Smith(NYG) to consistently be good.

Akaoni - you should see if you can sell high on Eli Manning and get something. Maybe you could package him with one of your ok RBs or WRs and try to upgrade to a better WR or RB. Brees is going to finish the season in the top 3 QBs, if not at the top, barring catastrophic injury, so you don't need Eli. You could just grab someone with an easy matchup off waivers for the bye week. If you could upgrade the perpetually overrated(at least for fantasy) Ryan Grant or upgrade Torry Holt(the Jags have a lousy offense and look to be at risk for full on implosion mode), it would probably help you a lot more over the course of the season. Even LJ, while a good player, plays for an awful team.

Picking up Campbell *LMFAO* just cause hes facing off against the Loins D! (ACTUALLY PRETTY SMART :D) Hes a bit dinged up but if he plays he'll dominate them... Hell, even Ryan Leaf NOW could get off the golf course, suit up and rack up the points.

NFL.com always overvalues the big name RBs. Outside of the few elite players, like AP or LT of past who actually do meet and exceed the projections, they always seem to think people like MJD and Frank Gore are going to rack up 20 fantasy points every week. Happens sometimes, but not actually as often as they say. I also don't think their projections do a very good job of taking into account matchups. Frank Gore vs. Min worth more than Clinton Portis vs. DET? Probably not. They also seem to think Slaton will rack up the fantasy points vs. the Jags when he hasn't racked them up vs. anyone yet.

Gore got injured... T_T I'm sad....

Who says RBs win fantasy games? My two RBs went for a combined 6 points and I currently lead my matchup this week 124-48. No way my opponent is getting 77 combined points from Steve Smith(Car), Witten, and the Cowboys D tomorrow.
