Favorite Auto?

I don't think that most people would know how to take care of a Ferrari FXX which is basically a formula 1 Car. Not a 3000 or anything but it's still up there. I agree as far as the Scuderia is much more practical and easier to take care of. Then again saying a Ferrari is practical is like saying a new Mini is bigger then the old ones. It's not saying much.

If I had to choose a expensive car to live with everyday it would probably be the R-35 or the Maserati Quattroporte. Those two are the most practical in my opinion. Oh and the BMW M3. So many good cars out there.

Ooh yeah, the M3. But personally the E30 is still the best of them all. Another badass car is the Audi R8, especially the new one with the V10.

As for the practicality of the FXX and Ferraris in general, that's why I want to build my own replica Jaguar XJR-9 or Lola T92. Widen the chassis a few inches to allow a second seat and room for a heater core under the bonnet, and [maybe] a small sound system. Maybe even the bodywork could be altered to have Ultima GTR-esque sidepod storage bins.

Then again, my definition of practicality would be being able to easily remove the passenger seat of a Caterham to allow for cargo carriage.

GreenZero, I agree with you on the Shelby. Actually, any V-8 1st gen Mustang. That car had a curb weight of 2600lbs. Back then, in the era of the 2-1/2 ton Dodge Charger, it was practically a Lotus Elise. Not to mention it looked damn cool, and the Shelby engines gave it some serious fucking grunt!

You have an interesting choice of cars there. I have to admit too that my dream list would comprise of cars from Europe as well, but it would be far too long to put here.

I forgot to mention the Jag XF-R

I have to think realistically cause road workers are lazy and do half-assed job repaving roads. Anything that can't adjust ride setting would shatter my spine driving to work/school. (I sound like an old man)

To add, I hate ricer cars. Either stock or very tasteful tuning.

Though, what if your DD does have the horsepower to get it up to speeds (on the track on the weekend, of course. :D ) where a GT wing, chin spoiler, and deep, air-funneling front facia are needed? After all, the Mitsubishi Evolution and Subaru Impreza STi marqes have always been fairly wild, and all that fluff is 100% functional and necessary.

Hence tasteful and not over the top. Yes the STi has a massive scoop and the bench wing, aside from the gold wheels the exhaust is still rather quiet under normal city use.

What I meant are those people that install exhaust systems that's just loud noise, silly LED's on top of the existing beams, crappy paint jobs, scissor doors, plastic useless side skirts, adjustable wings on cars that have no engine mods, Supercharging or large Turbos on FWD, and the most annoying one is FALSE BADGING. (i.e M badges are cars that are clearly not M)
