I remember i subscribed like 5 years ago. Before the whole '' game '' shit. I went back like a year and a half ago to check and its just terrible. The place is stupid and the people there are just has stupid.

I must agree with this statement.

I did use gaia for a short while during middle school, and it did kill alot of time (gambling and fishing) there. In the end I still had a few friends that were still really into it so I gave them my account.

I admit I do visit Gaiaonline once a while since I have friends and join a mecha guild there. But being a place where people between the age of 13+++ its kinda understandable that there will be annoying teenage posters that will go 'Kawaii' most of the times. Well, I don't post in the forums though except for the art discussion section, and no I don't do cosplay in Gaia. Encylopedia Dramatica is amusing to read, but seeing it written by 4channers; I just read it for the laugh.

I have a membership there, though I haven't visited in forever. For every 200 or so morons you meet, you'll meet one or two intelligent anime fans. I've got a couple friends that I met there, though not many. Can't say I ever really got into the whole "buy crap and dress your avatar up" thing, or any of the games or whatnot they have on there. I was mostly there for anime / video game discussion and some RPing. It's an OK site, but after a while you get sick of sifting through the crap trying to find gold...
