I think being upset over an internet meme is ridiculous all in itself. I personally wouldn't care what somebody thought of my gender. I wouldn't be upset if someone told me they didn't believe as to who I was. They're strangers, to be honest it's not really their business to begin with.

If Fakku was similar to 4chan there'd be no way in hell I'd post a picture of myself. But Fakku is more personal and you get to know people better, therefore I didn't mind sending out my pic.
