So, I finally got this back, and I did better than expected.
Still have to go over some of the places and make it better.
Colored pencils are fucking difficult to work with.

Have you tried working with soft pastels? i think you'll like the blending capabilities better.

As much as I would like to, we are prompted to only use colored pencils.
I've only used soft pastels once (in high school).

if you're locked into what the school wants you to use there's no way around it. I had to learn Oils, something i don't intend to use again, at least not anytime soon.

I'll probably pick them up sooner or later, as I like trying different mediums and such.

Dude, I can't remember ifn I mentioned it to you recently or not.
But have you ever considered recording your drawing process since you have a tablet now?
Kinda interested in how you about drawing what you draw.

Yes, it does.
But I was assuming that most people wouldn't sit and watch a whole stream, unless you was actively teaching something or had a fanbase to begin with.

At least with recording from the get go, you wouldn't have to keep a "schedule" and anyone who wants to watch, can just do so at any time as they please.

I'd do it myself, but I don't consider myself all that great yet. But I think you got the talent for it though.

Oh, well, I meant just using the livestream feature of saving videos to make them.
Although I could record it on my computer separately, but I don't know what program to get/use.

I wouldn't know either, but I would assume fraps or something of that nature.
You could probably google what programs livestreamers use and just do that to at least record them, and them save the files the usual way and them upload them after some of fast forwarding editing to shorten the length of the video.

Got this far with the latest one before totally fucking up and turning off the computer without saving.

How would you compare Photoshop, and Corel painter 12? I keep hearing that Core is overpriced, and Photoshop has more capabilities. But I know that Corel is more geared towards painting...

Like you said, Corel Painter is tailored more to those that paint/free-hand illustrating. It tries and replicates the painterly process in digital format. Photoshop (and i'll include Illustrator) is more "industrial" and used by professional Graphic Designers and Illustrators.

I can't really compare them (at the moment) because I haven't used either one enough to give you a fair review. Although, there are effects that Corel has that PS/Ill doesn't have. Although, at the moment I'm using Corel to get used to the idea of creating work (because I like the traditional approach). From then on, I'll end up transitioning to Photoshop/Illustrator.

tl;dr - I use Corel to draw/paint/sketch everything and photoshop to refine the results. I'm not really using Illustrator too much at the moment.

So yeah, I'll be posting sketches and shit on a blogspot now

Here is a color study I did for a drawing/painting I finished a few weeks ago. Turned out well (the Final blue one anyway).
