The Gundam statue in Odaiba Park in Tokyo, Japan has been torn down. I personally think they should have left and made more or even a park just from gundam or just for anime even. Think of it a Saber fountain surrounded by gundam statues, a large stone wall engraved with the names of animes and another one with dead anime characters.
The enemies of that gundam's pilot must have paid the Japanese government with virtual reality hentai to get rid of Japan's best symbol for producing morale for the country's gundam fleet, just to make their invasion go by smoother. Tricky fucking pricks they are.
As we can clearly see in video three, the 'Crane Platform' the man is standing on is red in color. Therefor we can clearly know that Char Aznable had something to do with this, otherwise his custom 'Crane Platform' wouldn't be there. This is odd... As fans of the Universal Century time-line would know that Char Aznable was born in U.C. 0059, and that U.C. started a little while after 2045A.D. Now, Char Aznable first knows of the Gundam in U.C. 0079, about 115 years in the future, and that he is accounted for up until his disappearance in U.C. 0093 at age 34. Now, this means:
Char used the psycho-frame to come back in time to the year 2009, destroy the Gundam and stop the founding of the Earth Federation Forces from ever being established!
Clearly, this is the only logical explanation for why Japan would ever disassemble a Gundam... After all, the only thing in the series more popular than the Rx-78-2 is Char Aznable himself!

They are going to reconstruct it in the Gundam Museum, it was mentioned a long time ago. They only built up the Gundam in Odaiba Park because of the Para Olympics that was being held in Japan.
