I can agree with you on the search engine, e-mail, and maybe on AdSense, but I really don't think the other stuff qualifies as "Internet changing".

I don't much care for monopolizing laws as it punishes a business for doing well, sure it makes sense as to why it's done, but it's still not right, I've always found it was a pretty flimsy system that should have been done differently.
I don't know about you but I would rather at least have the illusion of choice rather than no choice at all. And if any business could make it so that the consumer CAN'T choose, they would. That doesn't mean it would be good for the consumer though. For example, if Microsoft had it's way, all of us would be using IE. I'm sure you can appreciate those monopoly laws now.
