I understand what you mean. Though if this was a simple yes or no thread, why not just put a "yes" or a "no"? Was it just for creativity's sake? Or does the phrase "No it's annoying" hide something underneath. I said this before, whatever you say, you will not get the trust you want and expect everybody to believe that you really didn't mean anything. In a post, not only the contents of your posts count but also the way you post.
For example, your concluding statement just now, "I hear Mars is a good place to live in", can be misunderstood by many OR it can be properly understood in the way you want it to be understood (whatever that is).
Messing in someone's personal thing is already something not nice to do, even though you claim you only want to help. What may have ticked them more is the fact your choice of words were poor and inconsiderate.
Edit: oh and one other thing; when Kaho said he would stop it if people voted against it did that give you a sudden push to make that thread?
To quote someone, I think I should step in a bit.
Aren't YOU just antagonizing and demonizing Waar? I've seen too many people jump this guy's shit and all he has done is try to defend himself.
I won't get into the fact that you're raving over something that seems very, very petty. The
"Do you think it's annoying?" poll. When I first saw this mentioned I ignored it, but now so many people are just dragging it way, way too far out of hand. Seriously, let it go. There was no clear ill intent, and he has repeatedly stated that there was none.
If you feel that he was
secretly making fun of someone, then keep it to your self. Because it sounds like you're making an argument out of a paranoid delusion, or that you're making the whole thing into some insult conspiracy. Or rather, you WANT that to be the case. You want to prove to the world that Waar is a bad person. Otherwise, you would have dropped it by now. Why are you doing this? I don't know. If it's some personal grudge I think you should keep that to yourself also.
Anyway, this is all just my opinion, etc. etc.
MANBEARPIG IS REAL, IM SRS!!!
It would be of great satisfaction for me if this was just a delusion. However, it seems that to properly clear this up one must plunge in and reach rock bottom. Then when you're there where there's no longer anywhere to drop you climb back up by explaining yourself. From there create everything that was destroyed. When Waar made the thread he probably already knew the risks in it, he knew many people are at odds with him in fact some even insult him blatantly. In that sense then he probably already saw this coming.
Me demonizing waar? Don't give me too much credit. After all a novice like me isn't supposed to be able to harm a respected elder. But rather I'd say Waar has demonized himself. He knows his reputation and by making this thread he left himself open to critics and flames so don't pin this on me. Or are you trying to derail the current chain of thought?
If I feel someone was being made fun of I should keep it to myself? It must be really comfortable to live the life of a naive person who only cares about eating and drinking without thinking of others. TELL ME THEN! What is your purpose for defending waar in this thread? How different are you from me who gave her own opinion regarding what waar did in his thread? In the end you'd probably say, "I got pissed" or "I was defending him cause you're demonizing him" but in the end you did what most of us did and that is defend someone in the internet.
Now for why am I doing this? First and foremost I only came here to give possibilities on why some people (not necessarily everyone) got annoyed at Waar. What I'm giving you people are possibilities not entirely facts.
Edit: Hey don't derep others this is currently a debate. There's your rep back straydog
Another Edit: Also personal grudge? Don't get me wrong, I have respect for waar and his posts are not entirely offensive. But I'm also one who will not be indifferent when I feel something is a miss. And Waar it's true that sometimes a word is just a word but let me remind you that history have shown us what words can really do when used wrongly.
