For most of you, I don't think the above occasion will be celebrated, but for some Asians, especially the chinese, it is undoubtedly one of the most important holidays of the year. It could possibly be the equivalent of Christmas and New Year of the western world.

Indeed Happy Chinese New Years. I got my red envelope yesterday muwahah. But celebrating Chinese New Years isn't just about the red envelopes it's about sharing and caring. BTW I'm not Chinese.

Happy Chinese New Year everyone. I can't say I'm doing anything for it though, my girlfriend is Chinese(and a born on a rat year actually), but she's busy with a round of exams, so she certainly doesn't have time to do anything. Since I just moved a couple weeks ago, I don't know any other Chinese people in town(and the area only has about 4% Asian according to the 2000 census data, damn, I love zipskinny.com), and thus no one that's especially interested in Chinese New Year.
But I digress, celebrations or not, I wish you all a happy Chinese New Year. :D
