I've seen a couple of TV spots, and from them I can ascertain that this movie will be about boys and girls kissing.
That is seriously all the TV spots talk about. Dumbledore asks Harry about his activities outside of school, Harry says a girl is just a friend, some girl kisses Harry, girl says she's Harry's girlfriend . . . I mean, what the fuck? Isn't this supposed to be about wizards and some super evil guy?
The kids are growing up. Relationships play a big role in the sixth book. <.<
I figured, but the TV spots mention no conflict whatsoever besides "She's not my girlfriend/He's my boyfriend." I haven't read the series, but I'm sure there's more to the book than relationship problems. And it seems really cheap to advertise the movie as if the relationships are the focus. (They aren't, right?)
They play a BIG part on the book but they're no really that bad. Half-Blood Prince is a pretty dark book so they probably don't want to emphasize that stuff on the trailers. The relationship stuff are just used to break away from the serious plot points.
Also, the TV spots are just good marketing. They work for attracting the dumb teenagers that are only into dumb chick flicks.
