My first boyfriend dumped me for another girl as well. Though she was more attractive then I. She was fuckin' weird looking (full out goth - Marilyn Manson goth) but she had a thinner waist and bigger breasts, much larger rack.
There were a lot of issues beforehand. A lot. But he had used it as a base to break up with me which I was fine with. But he actually left to go live with this girl for a while and his friend told me what had happened.
It was ironic, because I remember reading a blog of his on a site that I don't normally go to. I mean, I didn't do it for the soul purpose of reading his blog. I don't know what made me go there really. But it was this huge confession of this love for this girl and how much he cares about her and loves her and that was before we broke up. I called him in tears asking him about who this girl was and he said I had it all wrong. He made that blog on purpose to help get that girls boyfriend jealous. I was naive enough to believe it ;p Denial anybody?
Anyway. tl;dr.
I'm in a relationship now that I'm very happy with.

The first time, sucked big time. A second time around, it still hurt. The next time around, it's more like if you don't like being with me then goodbye. I'd rather free up my time for one who appreciates me than wasting it on you. It's easy for me to turn cold toward those demanding ones.
Unfortunately, I learned that every break-up hurts regardless. Even for the ones I've lost feelings for. It could be that's just the way I am.
The easiest to get over with are those involving betrayal.

My first "serious" relationship ended with her dumping me. She simply told me she just had to do it and wasn't ready for one. (I was her first bf) She never told me the real reason she dumped me until several months later when I asked her. (Not saying the reason because it will take to long to type) Yep, that sucked big. Was I pissed when she told me, yep very. Did I cry when she broke up with me, yes I wailed like a woman. God damn it sucked.
Am I okay as of now, you bet. In fact I am currently interested in someone else and we been doing alot of things together as of late. Fact is, you will get over it.
