I doubt as an admin he'll start banning people for no reason. That would be a pretty stupid move.

Also, to make a point, IRC != Forums. In IRC, I'm happy to remove people quickly because I'm having to deal with their shit live. They can come back, and nothing is very permanent. [If the ban has been set by me and it's not a serious trolling offense or something it gets removed automatically in 5 minutes. If the ban is held by Rei-chan, you'll have to wait 2 hours or bitch to me about it in a PM, because you did something to piss someone off.]

The forums, even when I had global moderator powers for what seemed like a few hours, I did nothing. Nothing vanished. No-one got any special warnings or anything. If given the same chance again, I'd still not do anything. I might be faster to act than anyone else in the face of a troll like Chuu, but other than that there's no point in banning randoms from a forum.
