How is it done?

yeah, too stupid to think of a title.

Anyway! I wanted to ask how most artist (manga, doujin, etc.) make their stuff.
I'm guessing they draw it then scan it if that's correct (by how they are called scans).
I also notice how some do it straight on the computer.

So which is done more frequently is what i'm asking I guess.


P.S. I was debating whether to put this in electronics category, but since it's really about art I guess it would fit here.
