You know, it's a really pretty feature, but quite frankly it isn't that fancy, is it? Doesn't this feel like something they could have thought of a long time ago, and they should be working on making these damn cars fly around by now? The progress of automobile technology is so slow and painful, it's sad. Aliens are laughing at us, in their tricked out spaceships.

Doesn't change the fact that I would want that in a lambo.

wow, that looks like a pretty damn good idea to me. Why isnt it out in the market yet? O_o maybe its too expensive to develop (doubt it)? or is it the dependancy on electricity that may possibly trap occupants inside that makes it unpracticle for the moment? possibly they are considering malfunction situations that might cause bigger problems. No idea about that, but id sure want it anyway.

Although I could see a few problems with it, like if enough dirt got in the motor for the door, you might have some problems and stuff like that.

They've got to account for human stupidity when they make those things.

I think they didn't implement it yet because they have to consider the safety of it. If you notice properly, the door literally folds in on itself. Imagine if someone had his hands on the door while it folded.

I'd want a Lambo first...

This would suffice:

So? Think of the doors that we have now.
Those doors close. Imagine if someone had his hands where it closes.
They don't have to make every little bit of it safe.
If they can get rid of the obvious hazards, then the negligent that hurt themselves after that will have to take responsibility for their own actions. And by responsibility, I mean pain.

IF this get implemented so fast, I will be happy. And sport cars is overrated. Just change a chassis with several changes and presto you got a car that looks like a ferrari and yet alot cheaper!

I don't care about engine power, like you'll get to try it out.

Sports cars is more likely to be scrapped by our future descendants than kept if we got any.

Anyways, back to topic, I want a folding door, normal door get in my way so many times. And that also means we cannot grief park people with sport cars for who cares XD

looks interessating but what about the b-pillar....... I mean the it was inventend for a reason to give additional stability to the car if there is an accident or something.

If this car would be hit by another car from the side the driver and passangers would proably be dead even at low speed.

b-pillar give additional protection which is why if still prever the standard doors even if this shit was to be released (for 5 doors car of course if the car would only have 3 doors and no backseat then it would be useful)

and btw you can even enter your car via the car boot if it you are unable to open the side doors, trust me its fun
