basically I stayed in Manhattan, but we traveled all over, the NY subway system seemed quite complicated at first but by the end of the trip I had it down. Went into queens for a bit but was not impressed but Brooklyn made my day with all the vintage awesome. I hit up all the big stores of course, got myself some element/burton/DC stuff and I picked up a pretty sweet jet black watch from fossil (the Nixon watch i wanted was 550, which was about the amount i had with me the first day). I saw some pretty epic places, ate in some of the more famous (and overpriced) places as well. I also found some of the best pizza in new york at a place on spring street and the burger place in that dog park off Broadway (the one next to the daily bugle area). All in all it was the perfect first time trip, but there was no way I could see all the sights in the amount of time I stayed so I plan on going again some day (in the near future if possible).
Hey! I live in Queens and I have to say... I'm not that impressed with it either haha! There's some interesting stuff here, but it's harder to find and definitely not as glamorous as Manhattan.
The for real reals best pizza is in Brooklyn! I think you went to the Shake Shack at Madison Square Park for that burger. I passed by the place recently while going to see a show, maybe I saw you waiting in line without knowing it =), probably not.
