Was just doing my weekly browsing for new music on the internet when I stumble upon some instrumental artist under the name 'Iron Attack! (. He uses anime album covers which usually are parodies from already existing ones.)
Example:
Children of Bodom - Hatebreeder
Iron Attack - Scythe for the Guilty Riversides
Yeah....pretty funny. But how about the music? Well, I must say, normally bands like these are just 'for teh lulz' and the content itself is usually pretty mediocre > bad > so bad it's funny.
But at this very moment I'm downloading the 'Savage Flames' album. Why? Because I heard this track:
I don't know about you guys but I find this to be pretty awesome guitaring! It's basically some good ol' Neoclassical Power Metal. And the album cover adds up to its awesomeness of course (I think it's a Iron Maiden parody, not sure). Really, who doesn't like cute anime girls with guitars, and I don't mean that wimpy bullcrap like K-On!. Nothing against the anime itself, but I was hoping for some shredding, whatever.
And a last noticed before I end this post. This guy started in 2007 and is still active. Thus far he has released 11 (!) albums. Looking forward to check it all out since the stuff on Youtube impressed me quite a bit.
You can check out the discography with tracklists and covers here.
That song is amazing! Thank you so much for making this thread. It's always great to learn about new music, especially when it kicks ass like this does.
You say you're downloading some of his stuff. If you upload it to the Music and Soundtracks section, I'd be eternally grateful.
Nice choice, I Came into Iron Attack not long ago since he doing remix for Touhou, my favorite game series.
I have one album of him, one titled Sparking! And my favorite song there is this one:
well, perhaps you can upload some of his album too in touhou music thread in music upload section? since most of his works contains touhou remix/cover.
Yeah, I checked out some songs from Sparking, but he kind of ruined it for me by adding vocals in a few songs. For now I prefer his instrumental stuff.
I'll download Savage Flames first, then Thunder Concert. And yeah, I'll add the links in the Touhou thread, no problem.
