Is it right to like two people at the same time?

Have you ever been put into that situation before? If so, who did you end up choosing and how did things work out?

I don't think you can help feeling how you feel. The important thing is to not do anything that will make you an asshole. Or at least be upfront about it and ask for a threesome.

yea I've had that problem b4 once... their personalities were very different; one was very outgoing and liked to exercise, do sports, etc. (anything that wasnt sitting at home on asses, unless we were exhausted from things). the other was more shy, didn't want to be in anything that could draw a crowd, but she was really smart and was able to hold up more interesting conversations with me.

then the talk came up around the same time with both of them. they wanted to know if i was interested in them more as friends, and at that point i could have been more with one of them, but i held off since i also didnt want to lose that friendship.

it pretty much ended up that the outgoing girl felt spiteful to me since i didnt choose anyone, and ended up with someone else. i still talk to the shy girl a bit since then, tho she never wants to go out and do things really (i think its gotten worse since then too)

if anything i learned from this experience (and to answer the topic question) i think its ok to like 2 people, but there's a time when that decision has to be made, or everyone is going to be hurt by indecisiveness.

Lol, best reply so far. But I've always been wondering about this issue. Why is loving more than one person considered unacceptable anyway? I mean, we can love many types of music, art, drinks etc at the same time and everyone's ok with it. Even parents love their children at the same time and no issue whatsoever. The same applies to siblings too. So, what's exactly the problem about two-timing?

most likely it's because the society we're in right now deemed it inappropriate. as to why it's inappropriate it goes down to when the rules of that society is formed.

I't okay as long as you choose one over the other. I've had something like this and it worked out fine, almost too well. One of the girls I liked asked me out and I went out with her for I think 3 months. It didn't work out and we broke up and I asked the other girl out I liked before after a while and we went out for I think close to 5 month before she cheated on me. I was with both of them at least.

As others have said, I don't think it's wrong to like two people at the same time but I think it's best to make a choice between one of them.

Also because having a serious relationship with multiple people is hard to due because people have jealousy issues. After all you're an important person to you and it's reasonable that you want your partner(s?) to show that they value you.

sure, it's ok to like two people at the same time... but if your going out with 2 people at once, thats not exactly a good thing.

I'm of the mind that it's perfectly natural to love more than one person at the same time. as it were mentioned, in every other domain it's normal to love more than one person or thing. Relationships with different people bring different experiences to your life. so why not? I think we should all love each other freely and stop caring about this monogamy stuff.

and yes, I've been in this situation before. seemingly, often. never took action on it though, because i might be for mass polygamy but I'm not for cheating. It boils down to being about liberation, moreso that the sex. it sucks not being able to love someone freely because you're in a relationship with someone else.
