Well, there are lots of fans out there, they aren't REALLY famous to where everyone knows the genre though.... K-pop is very famous in Thailand and Taiwan especially!
There are lots in America, primarily anime fan(girl)s that liked J-pop and found a K-pop song on acsedent, or fans of (Asian) Korean Fashion. :3 http://www.allkpop.com/

i love this song. LOL i've been playing it work even. my coworkers were like "what the hell are you listening to?" ^_^ i first saw the video where you see them dancing throughout it instead of the one where they're mannequins. watching them dance mesmerized me.
