When you sign a contract pertaining to internet usage policy, often the company demands the right to keep logs of everything you do, often on a central server away from your computer so that when you've downloaded enough porn they can happily boot your buttocks into the elevator and out of the building.

I think it depends on ur workplace .
If u got the locked,fully secured internet and u can't access as an Admin,it's a bad thing .
You can't do anything .

I don't see a reason why would you need to use antivirus. Everything you need to do, is to download porn&hentai from good sources(fakku). If you do, you need no antivirus.

There are so many viruses, adware, spyware, and malware roaming the internet today that it's hard for the less computer literate people to keep their computer clean from many threats. This tutorial will show you how to clean your system and rid most of the threats.

Requirements:
Ccleaner - Download the latest version
SUPERAntiSpyware- Get the Free Edition
Ad-Ware SE Personal Edition 1.06
AVG Free- Get the most current free one.
SpywareBlaster

Follow The Steps:
Spoiler:
CClean
1. Run cclean. You are going to have to close this browser during the scan, so make sure it's bookmarked.
2. When cclean is open, click ANALYZE
3. When its done analyzing, it will show you how much of your computer it will clean in the window.
4. Click RUN CLEANER
5. When it finishes, it will tell you how much it cleaned out. Your done!

Now that you've done the cleaner part of this program, time to use the ISSUES part.
1. On the left side you will see buttons and one is labeled as ISSUES, click that.
2. Click ANAYLYZE
3. When it's done analyzing, choose FIX SELECTED ISSUES.
4. You are done. I suggest restarting now and resuming on the next part of this tutorial.

SuperAntiSpyware
1. Run SuperAntiSpyware
2. Check for UPDATES
3. Click Scan Your computer (the upper left option)
4. If this is your first time running this, I would do a full system scan, so choose PERFORM COMPLETE SCAN
5. It will scan your processes, registry, and files.
6. When finished scanning, it will tell you how many threats you have. Remove them all.

I would suggest restarting your computer at this point (if it asks you to restart, do so)

Ad-Aware
1. Run Ad-Aware
2. Check for UPDATES
3. Click START in the bottom right
4. Again, I would PERFORM FULL SYSTEM SCAN
5. It will scan your processes, registry, and files.
6. Hopefully with running SuperAntiSpyware you will not detect anything. Click NEXT in the bottm right.
7. Make sure the malicious files are selected. No need to click the MRU List.
8. Click Next, and it will quarantine the objects. Then Click OK.

AVG Free
1. Run AVG Free Edition for Windows throught Start menu>All Programs
2. Check for UPDATES
3. Click SCAN COMPUTER
4. When done scanning, it will let you know if you have any virus/threats
5. If you have any threats, be sure to remove or quarantine it.

SpywareBlaster (NEW! Found by: Azuran)
Won't clean your computer but it's a great program will add over 10,000 nasty sites to your block list, ensuring they won't bother you again. The only thing you need to do is update and enable the ne wprotection from time to time.

When finished with the scan and clean, I would suggest running CClean again.

Extras
1. Go to start>programs>accessories>system tools>Disc Cleanup
2. Check everything you can on there, unless you are running MS Office, then its your choice whether to keep the office files or not.
3. Let it clean up

More
1. Go to start>programs>accessories>system tools>Disk Defragment
2. Analyze your drive
3. Defrag your drive

After it is done defragging, restart your computer. Let me know if this has helped you clean and fix your computer.

I prefer Spybot Search & Destroy. For antivirus..well..AVG is an epic fail. Some commercial AV would be better. I use AVAST (since I bought this one.. ESET/NOD,panda,symantec was a piece of crap).

But thanks for the topic ..they'll come handy if a guy says his pc is slow.. :)

learn to use?? I was not aware you needed more training to use a virtual mashine than a real one :)

Also since this thread is only about safe browsing and keeping your computer clean, then I am surprised no one has enough of a bastard to say what I know some you are thinking.. get linux, then you dont need any of these programs :D

Lol, true getting Linux is legit, but has some downs to it.
And yeah im back after months of not signing in. My computer decided to die. So.... I started using my sisters laptop yesterday.

It's not the first time I hear it's bad. It's actually the one I like the best (from the ones I've used). Mind to explain why it's bad? I'm curious. Oh and if you could recommend a good one (free or not),it'd be cool.

I second Avira. I used AVG free to try to clean out my friends computer and it didn't do good job. Avira cleared out everything.

I rate Avira up there with Kaspersky in terms of effectiveness. Avira also is the fastest scanning Antivirus out there and its prevention is top rate. The only problem is Avira getting false positives b/c its aggressive heuristic detection.

I would also recommended comodo firewall, or outpost firewall to keep hackers out who carpet bomb the internet with probes.
