Well, episode 17 revealed that she's actually a college student, so that puts her age over 18 anyways.But in Japan, isnt the school system a little different ?
I thought it was 3 years of high school and afterwards it was 3 years of college. So they can work when they reach the age of 16.

She could be older because in the anime she is say to be in college, guaduated from it, or been to college (I didnt really pay much attention to it but it say something about college). In the actual show she IS in the same school/college as Michael just a different division.

1 thing you need to remember, reguarding univerity students. They can be younger, such as Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion. She was 14 and yet a College Grad. i guess 14 btw just cause ive seen 11 year olds look like 8 year olds (Lucky Star) and things of that sort.

And Klan Klan is in her late teens(17+) -> early 20's.
