It's really bad when something serious is going on, but it somehow makes you remember something funny, and you start laughing uncontrollably. Can make you look like a jerk.
Like, if someone's talking about how their friend got raped, and you remember the song "We Gon' Make Love" by the Whitest Kids U Know. You let out a huge laugh, and suddenly, you hate women. It's a damn shame.

That's the exact kind of inappropriate juxtaposition I always create, not that any of my friends ever seriously discuss rape. I'd smile for a few seconds, but I never physically laugh at anything I randomly remember. I tend to be quite concious of wounding my public image any further, though. :P

The last time i got some laughing flash was when i was standing next to my boss and a customer. Both thought i was making fun of them so i retreated carefully and got angry glares for the rest of the day >_>
