looking for some new music

hi i am currently a bit bored with my music collection and i was wondering if anyone could give a few ideas for some new bands for me to check out.
i like most tastes (preferably english), from weather report to megadeath to the Beatles

however i pefer not too mainstream bands (e.g. msi over linkin park) and not too extreme (i like slipknot and disturbed but i don't really like scream/howl metal..

thanks in advance and (pushing my luck) a youtube link would be nice too

youtube has some of their songs but most of them are fromm some kid sitting at a muse concert with a camera.....meaning crap quality.

Like QUOTSA, Korn, Audioslave and 30 Seconds to Mars too, but for the first one you have to look up No One Knows and Go With The Flow as well. I know they're a bit op, but great tracks nonetheless.

Definitely. For some reason I just enjoy those two songs more. (Maybe because the other two were op). "No One Knows" is amazing. The video has Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters beating on the drums and he does a great job.

Hm, maybe you might want to try some Prog Rock and/or Prog Metal. Maybe something like Spock's Beard or Green Carnation.
