/b/ is shit. /b/ has been shit for months, maybe even years, depending on your outlook.
But 4chan isn't a complete pile of shit. There are other boards. Though the most active boards are turning into /b/-Jrs.
I "lost faith" in /b/, I think it was more than a year ago, when I saw a thread with some dumbass MySpace survey thing with a ton of replies. The picture was even the logo of MySpace!

/b/ is shit, tho it has it's moments. What saddens me is that almost every board is getting more like /b/, with unrelated content (elections? in my /v/?) and trolls everywhere. You can't really try asking opinions or getting help in /a/ or /v/ (boards I access most) because it's full of fucking trolls.

That, and mods are fags, lol.
The less active boards, though slow, can be very helpful. /co/ is good (though it is pretty active and has the occasional troll), and it seems that /k/ and /po/ are very friendly places, though if you're not interested in weapons or folding paper, you probably won't visit either board.

If you want to talk about comics or cartoons, /co/ is the best place you can go on the internet.
And /x/ . . . well, paranormal-discussion sites all across the internet suck ass, but 4chan's doesn't suck quite as much ass. It's more active than the paranormal boards of other chans (which is sad since /x/ is unbelievably slow) and occasionally some cool stuff gets discussed.
